ORLANDO, Fla. -- An anonymous tip from a caller led Orlando police to a vacant field, where they found a man fatally shot on Tuesday night, according to authorities.

Aschielle Webster, 40, was found dead in the Parramore area of downtown in the 600 block of Columbia Street, according to watch commander Lt. Jonathan R. Bigelow.

The anonymous tip came in at 6:15 p.m.

Detectives said Webster had multiple gunshot wounds that were visible on his body.

Since the shooting happened in an open area next to a highway, investigators believe someone may have seen something.

"My hope is for the community who deserves better in this area, who are good people, those good people come forth with information that could lead to someone that does not belong in this community," said Bigelow during a news conference Tuesday night.

What is also going to be difficult to nail down is the timeline of the shooting. Detectives will be working closely with forensics teams and the medical examiner to determine when Webster was killed and how long his body was lying in the field.

Detectives say they believe whatever happened, it happened in the field.
