ORLANDO, Fla. -- A man was shot and killed at a downtown Orlando luxury apartment complex early Friday morning.

  • 23-year-old man found shot at Crescent Central Station
  • Police say gunman, victim likely knew each other
  • Investigators aren't looking for any additional suspects

Just after 1:30 a.m., Orlando Police officers arrived at the Crescent Central Station apartments at 480 North Orange Ave. to find a 23-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds in a unit upstairs, according to police.

Officers tried to help the man, later identified as Darian J. Elwin. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigators have talked to a number of witnesses, and they don't think the shooting was a random act. They think the gunman and Elwin likely knew each other, and police aren't looking for any additional suspects.

A name of any suspect has not been released.
