ORLANDO, Fla. – A Spectrum News 13 viewer Forrest has two problem areas he would like the City of Orlando to focus on: Orange Avenue between Colonial Drive and South Street.

  • Viewer wants city to replace old signs downtown
  • He says some signs impossible to see
  • City of Orlando says they will fix the signs

Forrest says the signs are either dirty or missing. At night, he says the one-way street signs are nearly impossible to see because they are old and non-reflective.

The other problem area is Magnolia Avenue between Jefferson Street and South Street. His complaint is that the Lymmo lane signs and the ‘Do Not Enter’ signs are also old and reflective.

His final thought is that the city should replace all of the signs in the downtown corridor.

All that being said, will the City of Orlando take action?

The answer:  A resounding yes.

Orlando city officials are going to go ahead and fix them, at least all of the ones our viewer suggested.

Officials told Spectrum News 13 last week that they had a control team check out each of the signs that Forrest referenced.

They have implemented a plan to have all of the signs addressed -- fixed or replaced -- in the coming weeks, including the Lymmo signs.
