CENTRAL FLORIDA -- We had a few mid and upper level clouds develop Thursday afternoon, but there was still enough filtered sunshine to send highs well into the 80s.

We’re going clear to partly cloudy overnight, as some of the clouds hang around. Lows stay on the mild side in the mid to upper 60s.

Friday looks rather hot, with inland areas bumping into the upper 80s and lower 90s under a partly cloudy sky. Dew points still remain in check, so the air isn’t overly muggy just yet.

Saturday doesn’t look any different with a partly cloudy sky and highs in the mid-80s to around 90 area wide. A pattern change is still in the works starting Sunday.

Tropical moisture streaming north will allow us to push rain and rumble chances up to around 50 percent for Mother’s Day, 60 percent Monday, and 50 percent Tuesday through Thursday.

We’ll have an east-southeast and east-northeast swell mix Friday with wave heights sticking around two to three feet. Overall surfing conditions look poor to fair, although leaning more toward poor.

The moderate threat of rip currents also stays in place into the weekend, so be careful if entering the water. Sea surface temps are in the upper 70s.
