Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, with a look at conditions through the weekend and into midweek next week.

  • Front stalls Friday
  • Isolated showers Saturday
  • Rain chance increases Sunday

Skies will be partly cloudy through morning, with temperatures by the morning in the 50s and 60s.

A weak front will move into our area Friday. It will not have a huge impact, but it will lead to some changes headed into the weekend.

The front will stall almost right on top of us during Friday. Expect highs still in the low to mid 80s for most of the area, but slightly lower in the upper 70s from Hernando and Citrus counties northward.

Moisture will start to increase in our area and humidity will start to rise as the front stalls and winds shift and come from the south into this weekend. That will result in rain chances coming back into the picture.

Friday night will be partly cloudy, with lows in the 60s.

Saturday will be partly cloudy, with highs in the low 80s. There could be just enough moisture to squeeze out a couple of isolated showers that afternoon, but the coverage will be low.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with lows in the 60s.

Sunday will be partly sunny to variably cloudy, with a better chance of scattered storms in the afternoon to evening. The coverage appears to be at about 40 percent.

There will be another front moving toward us Monday, with a lingering chance of scattered showers that day.

Then a front will move through, with decreasing rain chances and drier air moving in from mid to late next week.

Temperatures will drop slightly during that time from highs in the low to mid 80s down into the upper 70s.
