DELTONA, Fla. — Volusia County deputies are investigating an armed home invasion that happened Monday morning in Deltona.

Deputies responded to a home on Ainsworth Avenue around 6:30 a.m. The resident said he was getting ready to leave for work when three unknown men approached him with handguns.

According to the resident, the suspects forced him inside the house and tied his hands together, along with three other residents in the home.

The man told deputies that he struggled with one of the suspects at one point, and a shot was fired through an interior wall. No one was injured, deputies say.

Cash and several guns were also stolen during the incident. 

The investigation is active and ongoing. Detectives say they believe the incident was not random.
