More than two dozen residents living in a Pine Hills apartment complex will have to find another place to stay after a fire broke out Tuesday night.

It happened at the Hibiscus Apartments on Silver Star Road.

The fire started just after 7:45 p.m. in one of the back buildings of the apartment complex. People living there had to evacuate.

Orange County Fire and Rescue said 10 units were affected with 35 people displaced. There was visible damage to the upper units. Officials said the Red Cross has been notified to assist the residents.

Pauelette Robinson was in one of the bottom units and was able to get out safely. She said she is not sure if there is damage to her unit but she will not be staying in her apartment Tuesday.

"I came outside, flames was everywhere, come to find out it burned the two apartments upstairs. Hopefully they put us up somewhere tonight," said Robinson.

There were no injuries. Investigators are still working on the cause of the fire. The state fire marshal will be investigating.
