- Orlando Science Center transforms exhibit for Superhero Week
- Kids participated in activities, dressed up as superheroes
The Orlando Science Center turned its KidsTown exhibit into a real-life "metropolis" for Superhero Week.
Children were able to participate in several activities, including crafts, a superhero training camp and story time. Some even dressed up as their favorite heroes.
“We’ve just been having a blast, we’ve seen kids dress up,” said Sarah Andrews, with the Orlando Science Center. “We’ve done lots and lots of silly costumes, silly activities and we’ve just been having a ball.”
Organizers say the event is a way to honor real-life superheroes by introducing children to firefighters and police officers.
Superhero Week ended Sunday, however The Orlando Science Center is hosting other events like summer camps for grades K through 9.
