Authorities in Orange County are investigating a Sunday morning shooting death.

  • Victim identified as Alexis Osmick
  • Shooting happened at 'large house party' on Pioneer Road
  • Orange County authorities still investigating

The Sheriff's Office said it occurred just after 3 a.m. in the 3000 block of Pioneer Road.

The victim was identified as Alexis Osmick, who turned 39 on Saturday.

Investigators said the shooting happened at a large house party.

One of Osmick's best friends, Sigo Lando, tells News 13 they were having a party for Osmick's birthday.

At least 20 of Osmick's close friends and family were at the party.

Investigators questioned each of them.

"I don't know who shot him, but I will make it my power to help the police to help catch the people who did this," said Lando.

A portion of Pioneer Road was shut down for several hours. There were 15 evidence markers on the street and bullet holes in a car.

Osmick was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The circumstances leading to the shooting are still under investigation.
