Palm Bay Police said they found 42-year-old Scott Woodman cooking methamphetamine in a "one pot" in a wooded area behind Hurricane Car Wash.

Police took Woodman into custody and shut down the small lab and said this isn’t something they often see.

“They’re like backyard chemists," Police Lt. Mike Bandish said. "They know exactly how to get and what to get. There are a bunch of different methods to make meth, and they’ll vary it when they can’t get those exact chemicals.”

Police said Woodman disposed of the meth before they arrived.

Woodman is facing one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
