A man who was critically injured during a shooting that left another man dead in the Lockhart area of Orange County has died on Thursday, according to Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Kimonie Norman, 20, and 27-year-old Brandon Williams are both dead as a result of the shooting on Wednesday evening. One of the men died on Wednesday evening and the other who was critically injured died Thursday morning, but currently the sheriff's office has not released the order of the men's deaths.

Shots were fired inside an apartment complex near Forest City Road and Riverside Park Road before 5 p.m. on Thursday.

The shooting took place in the 7600 block of Forest City Road in Orlando, near a playground, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to the area around 4:45 p.m. following a call reporting shots fired in the area.

Investigators spent hours looking for the gunman.

Witnesses say they heard multiple gunshots and the sheriff's office responded and quickly shut down Forest City Road.

This concerned parents as news quickly spread that Lockhart Middle School was on lockdown.

Residents were also turned away.

“I just pray to God that they catch him, and my kids be OK. That’s all. As long as my kids are OK, I am OK,” said neighbor Shanavia Scott.

The search continues for the shooter, but the sheriff's office has not released a suspect description yet.
