Students at New Smyrna Beach High School are among thousands to hear a powerful message by an unlikely duo -- a convicted felon and the mother of one of his victims.

Eric Smallridge and Renee Napier have already spoken to approximately 2,500 people through several presentations.

Renee's daughter, Meagan Napier, and her friend Lisa Joe Dickson were killed after being hit by Smallridge's SUV in 2002.

Meagan and Dickson were just 20 years old.

Smallridge was convicted of DUI manslaughter and sentenced to 22 years for the crash.

Now he and Renee are spreading their message.

Renee has also launched a foundation the Meagan Napier Foundation in her daughter’s name.
