Project Weather is made up of interactive educational resources to help prepare students for the future.

Students will need skills in science, technology, engineering or math for 80 percent of jobs in the next 10 years.

Therefore, educating kids about weather sciences is the perfect subject for the Spectrum News 13 Weather Experts!

The Project Weather Activity Books are great for preschool and elementary age children.

We developed and updated this activity book to answer common weather-related questions and turn them into fun, educational puzzles for kids. They are given out at hurricane expos and weather related events or Spectrum News 13 viewers can call Spectrum News 13 at 407-513-1300 to receive yours free.

Sprouts & Seedlings Children's Garden at the Central Florida Zoo

Spectrum News 13 is the proud sponsor of the Sprouts & Seedlings Children's Garden at the Central Florida Zoo!  This interactive exhibit allows children to get outside and explore nature and see what things they might find in their own backyard.

The Sprouts & Seedlings program is geared towards pre-school children, ages 2-5, and happens every Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30am-10:30am.  This program features speakers from the zoo talking about a variety of topics on nature.

Would your class like to video conference with a meteorologist?

Project Weather would like to give students a chance to ask weather questions from Spectrum News 13's Weather Experts.

If your classroom has the ability to Skype, contact Spectrum News 13 at 407-513-1300 to schedule your Weather Wednesday.

Sessions are on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. for 30 minutes. Students must be in the first grade or older. For children younger than the first grade, we recommend the Spectrum News 13 Project Weather Activity Books.
