ORLANDO, Fla. — Fear Factor Live, the stage show attraction at Universal Studios Florida, is permanently closing.

What You Need To Know

  •  Fear Factor Live is permanently closing at Universal Studios on Nov. 1

  •  The attraction has been at the park since 2005

  • Universal hasn't said what it will do with the space

The attraction, which has been shut down since March 2020, will officially close Nov. 1, a Universal spokesperson confirmed to Spectrum News.

Fear Factor Live opened at the park in 2005 and was based on the reality TV series “Fear Factor.” When it was open, the attraction would have visitors volunteer to participate in various challenges.

The Fear Factor Live venue is currently being used for the Halloween Nightmare Fuel stage show during this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Prior to that, the space was used as a U-Rest area when the park reopened last year from the pandemic shutdown.

Universal hasn’t said what it plans to do with the space once Halloween Horror Nights ends.

This is the latest attraction that Universal has said it is permanently closing. Earlier this month, Universal confirmed that its Shrek 4-D attraction, which has been at the park for 18 years, will close in January.
