TAMPA, Fla. — Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has released a few more details about its upcoming Sesame Street Kids’ Weekends.

  • Sesame Street Kids' Weekends returns to Busch Gardens next month

  • The event will feature character interactions, trick-or-treating and dance parties

  • Busch Gardens is also adding a new acrobatic show to the fall lineup

  • Cirque X-Scream will open Sept. 17 at the Stanleyville Theater

The family-friendly event kicks off Oct. 2 and runs every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 31.

Located in the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area of the park, the event will include a number of activities, including interactive character meet-and-greets, Halloween-themed dance parties, pin trading and the return of Elmo’s Treehouse Trek.

The Not-Too-Spooky Howl-O-Ween Radio Show will return with The Count and other Sesame Street characters.

There will also be more trick-or-treat stations this year, with 10 locations spread along the expanded Candy Trail.

Busch Gardens has also added a new steam punk-themed stage show to its fall lineup. Cirque X-Scream will take place at the park's Stanleyville Theater and feature aerial performances, trampoline tricks and other acrobatic acts. The show will run multiple times Fridays through Sundays, starting Sept. 17.
