BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex plans to reopen its Apollo/Saturn V Center to the public later this month.

The center and its exhibits, which have been closed since last year because of the pandemic, will feature new health and safety measures when they reopen.

As part of the health and safety measures in place, visitors will encounter a new procedures during their experience. Visitors will need to use a kiosk near the bus transport entrance to reserve a departure time as well as a spot on the bus. Once on board the bus, passengers will be space apart to allow for social distancing. Face masks are required.

Drives will be routinely disinfecting the buses after each trip to and from the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

The Apollo/Saturn V Center attraction features interactive exhibits about the Apollo Program—from the first launch to Moon landings that came after. Visitors will now encounter a newly renovated “sense of arrive,” which is designed to set the new tone of the experience. Other experiences at center have been given enhancements, including the Moon Scape where visitors can learn about the importance of the Moon landing as well as projection mapping on the Saturn V that displays footage from the Moon landing.

Although the Moon Rock Café will not be reopening for now, visitors will be able to purchase light snacks at the gift shop.

An exact date for when the Apollo Saturn V Center reopens will be announced soon, according to Kennedy Space Center.

The main attractions at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex are currently available to visitors, including Space Shuttle Atlantis, IMAX Theater, Heroes and Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame and Shuttle Launch Experience.
