WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The ship used in the pirate-themed water ski show at Legoland Florida has returned after a nearly 10-month absence.

  • Brickbeard's Bounty returns to Legoland Florida show
  • Ship was damaged during Hurricane Irma last year
  • Took nearly 10 months to rebuild the ship

Brickbeard's Bounty, the centerpiece of "Battle for Brickbeard's Bounty: A Pirates' Cove Ski Adventure" was severely damage last year during Hurricane Irma.

The ship was removed from the show, stripped down to its frame and completely rebuilt, according to Legoland. It was given new sails and returned to Pirate's Cove last week.

Legoland Florida employees, or "model citizens" who are veterans of the military, rode aboard the ship as it made its way back to port.

The Battle for Brickbeard's Bounty is performed multiple times each day. The show lasts about 20 minutes.
