ORLANDO, Fla. -- Reservations are now being accepted for Universal Orlando's upcoming Surfside Inn and Suites.

• The new Universal Orlando hotel is set to open in 2019
• Rates will start at $73 per night

The new hotel, which is being built on the former site of Wet 'n Wild, is set to open August 2019.

Surfside will have 750 rooms, each featuring beach-themed décor.

Other amenitites include a food court, a pool bar and a fitness center and a surfboard-shaped resort-style pool. 

Rates will start at $73 per night, making Surfside the first hotel in Universal's value category. The other will be Dockside Inn & Suites, which will be built next to Surfside to form Universal's Endless Summer Resort.

Dockside is set to open in 2020.

Both hotels will feature early admission into Universal's theme parks as well as free transportation to and from the parks and Universal CityWalk.
