In a non district matchup Thursday night, the Trinity Prep Saints swept the visiting Harmony Longhorns 3-0 on Spectrum Sports.

The Saints were led by senior middle blocker Cori Gray in the first two sets to win 25-20 and 25-16. Gray was named the player of the game, finishing with 8 kills and 6 blocks on the night.

Harmony started off the third set and gained momentum quickly, jumping out to an 8-1 lead. The Longhorns led by as many as 8 in the set, until Trinity Prep and senior Samarah Hill clawed their way back to tie the match at 19. Trinity Prep used an 8-1 run in the middle of the match to take the final set 25-23. Hill would lead all players with 12 kills, while Haylie Clark led Harmony with 9 kills.

Trinity Prep improves to 8-1 on the season and were anticipating their match on Monday against district foe First Academy. Due to Hurricane Irma, the game has been postponed until October.

Harmony falls to 5-2 and looks to regroup against Boone, depending on when the match will be played.
