Tampa Bay Bucs linebacker Kwon Alexander is taking team colors to a whole new level.

Forget rolling out the red carpet. Alexander rolled out the red hair as he made the quite the entrance when veterans reported for training camp on Thursday.

"I just started this up, you know, I wanted to do something new, so you know, this is it."

The first practice is bright and early Friday morning and players are looking forward to getting back to work.

"For us to become a great team, you know, everybody come together. You know, we're going to be working hard this camp.  And you know, there's going to be a lot of great things that are going to happen."

Great things haven't happened for the Bucs in a long time. They've endured a 10-year playoff drought, but buzz around the league is that might end this season. Tampa Bay's the darling pick to win the NFC South Division.

"I see why it's a lot of excitement," wide receiver Mike Evans. "We have a really good team, a really good roster. So, hopefully we all stay healthy and put in the work and we can reach our goal, that’s to make the playoffs.”

First, the players have to get through the rigors of training camp. For rookies like first-round draft pick O.J. Howard, things just got kicked up a notch.

“I’ve came through OTAs, but you know there’s nothing like camp, of course," Howard said. "But just being around all the guys on the team there’s no reason to be nervous cause all of them are laid back, they’re all cool guys. So, I’m just going out there to play football.”

It’s the start of training camp and the Bucs players are seeing red.
