The top high school softball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Spectrum Sports staff:

1. West Orange (28-3) – Warriors won their second consecutive 9A championship and finished the season ranked No. 3 in the nation by FloSoftball.

2. Eustis (26-2) – Only losses came against state champions West Orange and Coral Springs Charter as the Panthers ended their best season ever as the 5A runner-up.  

3. Timber Creek (23-4) – After a stellar regular season, the Wolves were upset by Osceola in the 9A region semifinals.  

4. Rockledge (25-5) – For the second consecutive season, the Raiders lost to South Florida powerhouse Plantation American Heritage in the 6A region final.

5. Lake Howell (19-10) – Silver Hawks came agonizingly close to their first state tournament appearance, giving up a walk-off grand slam in a 6-5 region final loss against Wellington.

6. Hagerty (18-8) – Huskies beat Lake Howell twice in the regular season and in the district final but lost the game that meant the most – the region semifinal.

7. Spruce Creek (20-10) – Hawks finished strong, winning nine of their last 11 games and advancing to the region finals for the second consecutive year.

8. Winter Springs (19-7) – Bears season ended in the district semifinals, but the Bears beat West Orange, Lake Howell, Hagerty and Spruce Creek during a successful regular season.

9. Eau Gallie (21-8) – Commodores eclipsed the 20-win mark for the first time since 2012, when they advanced to the state semifinals.   

10. St. Cloud (21-6) – Bulldogs will have to replace Cortney Wentzell, who hit 24 career home runs to leave her mark as one of the best hitters in Osceola County history.
