No workout necessary for the Orlando Magic to recognize that their 6th overall pick Jonathon Isaac was the right fit for the team--

The 6’10 Florida State freshman forward and second round selection 4-year Kansas State forward Wesley Iwundo were introduced less than 24 hours after being drafted –the two telling us how eager they are to get back to the court and get to work.

“I just want to come in and be a great team mate and I am a rookie, I want to learn from these guys and find out what it takes to be a pro?” Jonathon Isaac said Friday afternoon. When asked what he wants people to know about him and his game he replied.

“I have a full arsenal. I think I can shoot it and especially play well with defense. I don’t want to come in and try to do too much –I just want to play and win summer league.”

Wesley Iwundu joined Isaac on the podium as the two were introduced to the media Friday afternoon.

“I want to get out there and make a difference on defense and do what I do as a player,” Iwundu explained. “I just want people to know what I am capable of bringing and carrying that mentality every day.”

Coach Frank Vogel an integral part in the draft selection process.

“We have to get more athletic and we have to get quicker and have to get longer quite frankly to improve on the defensive end and we’ve done that with these guys,” Vogel said.

Frank Vogel and the team are keeping expectations low for Isaac for now—saying he isn’t going to bring us to the Promised Land quite yet but just want him to get acclimated to the team, schedules and being a rookie.

Fans will get their first taste of what Isaac and Iwundo can do next Saturday when the team opens up its NBA Summer League schedule again Indiana
