The Tampa Bay Lightning selected defenseman Cal Foote from the Kelowna Rockets with the 14th pick in the first round of the 2017 NHL draft.
Cal, 18, is the son of 20-year NHL defenseman Adam Foote who was drafted 22nd overall in the 1989 NHL draft.
Cal scored 93 points in the last two seasons in the WHL, 42 of them coming on power plays for the Rockets.
