After missing out on the finals one year ago, the Orange Crush won their first title in the Central Florida High School Hockey League over the Jacksonville Jets, cruising to a 5-2 win behind stellar goaltending from Colin Welch. Welch stopped fourteen shots on the day and didn't see the Jets first shot until late in the first period.

A scoreless first period dominated by the Crush gave way to the games first goal just :16 into the second period as Parker Mara fed defensemen Nick Panfen off of a faceoff for a one-timer that beat Jets goalie Joel Stachura over his left shoulder. The Crush would score twice more in the frame on a power play goal from Chris Walker and Derrick Watson's putback past Stachura to give them a comfortable 3-0 lead at the second intermission.

Jacksonville started the third period with a flurry of shots, finally getting one past Welch just three minutes into the period as Connor Gatto took a pass from Nikata Lachapelle and slotted it home, cutting the lead to 3-1.

The Crush would score twice more in the third, including a breakaway goal from Parker Mara who was named Player of the Game with his goal and two assists.

The Orange Crush finish the season with a league best 9-1 record and defeated the Jets all four times the teams met up this season.
