With their ace in the circle and on their home field, the Florida State Seminoles were poised for a win to send them to the Women's College World Series.

LSU had other plans.

The Tigers scored five runs (four earned) off two-time ACC Pitcher of the Year Jessica Burroughs, with four RBI coming from senor Sahvanna Jaquish, to eliminate the Seminoles from the Super Regional round, 6-4 in the deciding game of the best-of-three series.

It's the third-straight trip to the WCWS by the Tigers, who were the 13-seed in the tournament. LSU has also won 10-straight elimination games in the Regional and Super Regional rounds.

FSU almost had the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning, but Carsyn Gordon was thrown out at second base trying to stretch a single into a double.

After Burroughs won Game 1 on Friday, the Seminoles hadn't lost on their home field in all of 2017, before dropping two-straight to the Tigers to end the season.
