Deltona Trinity Christian Academy were the comeback kings in their state semifinal victory.

They came back twice to advance to the Class 2A championship game. They just didn't have another one in them against Lake Worth Trinity Christian Academy.

Lake Worth TCA won their second-straight state title with an 8-3 victory.

Deltona TCA actually led the defending state champs for three innings.

The Eagles put runners on first and second in the bottom of the first with singles to center field by Collin Curtis and Will Rosado. Trent Brickhouse drove in Curtis with an RBI single to deep right field for an early 1-0 Eagles lead

The defense went to work in the next inning, retiring three-straight. And the offense had opportunities to add to their lead, but two runners were tagged out at home in the bottom of the second.

Lake Worth TCA had a hard time figuring out Eagles pitcher Danny Nugent. The senior had a no hitter going through three innings. The Warriors figured him out in the fourth.

B.J. Murray broke up the no hitter with a lead off single to left field. Kaeber Rog tied the game when he drove in Murray with an RBI single to center field. David Yourke broke up the tie with a two-run single to give the Warriors a 3-1 lead.

Tyler Hall made it 4-1 with an RBI deep shot to left field.

Deltona TCA added a run in the bottom of the fifth when Curtis' single to right field scored Edel Morales. That was as close as the Eagles would get.

Several Eagles errors led to three more runs for Lake Worth TCA in the sixth to solidify the win.
