The top high school softball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Spectrum Sports staff:

1. West Orange (23-3) – Lauren Mathis tossed a complete game two-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Warriors beat Apopka 2-0 for the 9A, District 3 title.  

2. Timber Creek (22-3) – Wolves, region runner-up the last two years, will host Ridge Community in the region quarterfinals on Wednesday night.

3. Eustis (22-1) – Panthers topped South Sumter for the 5A, District 6 title and will carry a 20-game winning streak into the regional tournament.

4. Rockledge (23-4) – After squeaking past Merritt Island 1-0 in the district semifinals, Raiders jumped on Eau Gallie early and cruised to a 6-2 win for the 6A, District 13 title.

5. Hagerty (17-7) – Huskies lost to East River 14-3 in the regular season and will host the Falcons in a rematch Wednesday in the 8A region quarterfinals.

6. Lake Howell (17-9) – Silver Hawks ousted Winter Springs from the postseason and will travel to St. Cloud for the 8A region quarterfinals.

7. Eau Gallie (20-7) – Losing in the district championship game sends the Commodores to Rivera Beach Suncoast for the 6A region quarterfinals.   

8. St. Cloud (21-5) – Sophomore Ariana Manzanares had four RBI in the district tournament to bring her season total to 37.

9. Spruce Creek (18-9) – Hawks, who advanced to the region finals last season, have won eight of their last nine games.

10. Melbourne (21-6) – A solid outing from Gabi Lopresti helped the Bulldogs get past Viera 3-1 in Thursday’s 7A, District 6 championship game.
