The top high school softball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Spectrum Sports staff:

1. West Orange (21-3) – Friday’s 3-1 loss to Winter Springs ended the Warriors’ 17-game winning streak.

2. Timber Creek (20-3) – Wolves young pitching staff will carry a 0.72 ERA into the postseason.

3. Eustis (20-1) – Panthers, rated No. 2 in the latest Miracle Sports 5A state rankings, have shutout 11 opponents this season.

4. Winter Springs (19-6) – Bears ended the regular season on a high note with a 3-1 win over No. 1 West Orange on Spectrum Sports.  

5. Rockledge (21-4) – Junior Ashley Stephenson tossed her seventh complete game of the season as the Raiders topped Viera 2-1 to build momentum for the playoffs.

6. Viera (20-5) – Hawks, the top seed in the 7A, District 6 tournament, outscored their district opponents 53-6 in the regular season.  

7. Hagerty (15-7) – Huskies are the top seed in the 8A, District 9 tournament and should have no problem with Evans in the semifinals.

8. Lake Howell (16-8) – Silver Hawks have won six of seven going into Tuesday’s win or go home district semifinal against Winter Springs.

9. Eau Gallie (19-6) – All six of the Commodores’ losses have come against teams that are or have been state ranked.  

10. St. Cloud (19-5) – Senior shortstop Cortney Wentzell enters the postseason with 23 career home runs.
