The top high school baseball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Spectrum Sports staff:

1. West Orange (22-3) – Senior shortstop Chris Seise, a UCF signee, was named the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Player of the Year for Orange and Osceola counties.

2. First Academy (18-3) – Royals split their district series with Trinity Catholic last week and secured the top seed in the 4A, District 3 tournament.

3. Orange City University (18-5) – Titans have won nine in a row with games this week against Pine Ridge and Seabreeze.

4. Merritt Island (18-5) – Mustangs, who face Viera Thursday night on Spectrum Sports, have caught fire offensively during a 10-game win streak.

5. Viera (15-5) – Hawks committed three errors in Friday’s 6-3 loss to Timber Creek.

6. Eau Gallie (20-3) – Commodores will matchup with Viera and Holy Trinity in the final week of the regular season.

7. Hagerty (17-7) – Huskies’ six game winning streak was halted in Friday’s 5-1 loss to rival Oviedo.

8. Lake Brantley (16-6) – Patriots, who have managed 10 total runs in their last five games, sustained back-to-back losses last week to Hagerty and Winter Park.

9. Rockledge (16-6) – The 14 runs the Raiders allowed Merritt Island to score is the most they’ve given up since 2010.  

10. Melbourne Central Catholic (18-3-1) – Hustlers play three Brevard County public schools – Palm Bay, Bayside and Melbourne – to close out the regular season.
