Ocala Vanguard and Edgewater fought for spots in the Class 7A championship game.

In the second semi, Edgewater played in its 11th Final Four, a year after missing the playoffs. They faced a Lehigh team playing in its first Final Four.

Edgewater got off to a hot start, shooting 47 percent in the first quarter, while holding to Lehigh to 17 percent.

Paced by senior guard Anfernee Simons 14 first-half points, the Eagles took a 35-17 halftime lead.

It was all Edgewater in the second half as the Eagles smothered Lehigh for an 83-53 victory. Simons led Edgewater with 26  points.

Making its fifth Final Four appearance, Vanguard took on defending state champs Dillard in the first semi.

The Knights held a 12-8 lead late into the first quarter thanks to great outside shooting from senior guard Devontae Bynes and a strong inside presence from senior forward Jowarn Mitchell.

Dillard came back to take an 18-16 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Bynes wasn't done with the three's. He added two more in the second, for a total of four in the first half, to pull the Knights within two after Dillard took a five-point lead.

Knights senior guard Charquez Clayton scored five-straight points to give Vanguard a 35-34 lead with less than a minute to go in the second. But Dillard ended the first half on a 7-0 run to take a 41-35 halftime lead.

In the second half, Vanguard kept things close for most of the third quarter. But just like the end of the second quarter, Dillard ended the third on a big run to take a 57-49 lead. The Panthers further distanced themselves with a 29-4 run to close the game for a 79-54 victory.

Bynes led Vanguard with 15 points. Jalen Scott added 11 and Clayton had 10.
