The top high school softball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Spectrum Sports staff:

1. Timber Creek (8-1) – Wolves have allowed a total of three runs during seven game winning streak.

2. West Orange (8-2) – Senior Morgan Arcia is batting .448 with 10 RBI and six extra base hits.  

3. St. Cloud (8-1) – Bulldogs offense is generating more than eight runs per game but was kept off the scoreboard in Friday’s 5-0 loss to Pembroke Pines Charter.   

4. Eustis (8-1) – Only blemish so far for the Panthers is a 5-0 loss to West Orange in the third game of the season. 

5. Rockledge (8-1) – Balanced offense features a .378 team batting average and eight players who have six or more RBI.

6. Spruce Creek (6-2) – Only game this week for the Hawks is a matchup against Winter Springs on Tuesday night.

7. Deltona (7-1) – Wolves, No. 1 team in 7A state rankings, allowed New Smyrna Beach to score three runs in the top of the 7th inning in a 5-3 loss on Wednesday.  

8. Hagerty (7-4) – Up and down week for the Huskies included big district win against Winter Springs and blowout losses to East River and Orange Park Oakleaf.

9. Lake Howell (6-4) – After starting the season 1-2, the Silver Hawks have won five of seven with victories against Lake Brantley, Winter Springs and East River.

10. Apopka (7-2) – Blue Darters will host Lake Howell Tuesday night at 7 on Spectrum Sports (Channel 1147).
