The Hagerty Huskies used a 10–0 run late in the fourth quarter to defeat their crosstown rivals Oviedo 56–52 in thrilling fashion Thursday night at the Robert W. Lundquist Gymnasium on the Oviedo campus.

The game was seen live on Spectrum Sports.

The Huskies outscored the Lions 19–7 in the final frame to come from behind in front of a packed gym to win their second game in the last three against their storied rivals.

Hagerty senior Will Faulk, who is gaining interest from multiple Division II schools, scored a game-high 22 points.

Junior big man Joe Conley (6'8") chipped in 11 points while senior forward Jordan Cox added 9 points and 6 rebounds for the Huskies.

Oviedo senior guard Ivan Smith led the Lions with 15 points. Smith is garnering interest from Charleston Southern, Florida Gulf Coast and Murray State. Lions junior point guard Devon Knaub added 12 points and 2 assists. Oviedo junior center Josh Charley chipped in 9 points and 4 rebounds.

Oviedo (16-7) are now 5-1 in their last 6 games and will host St. Cloud on Friday. Hagerty (14-10) will host Winter Springs Friday night as well.

In the upcoming Class 9A-District 2 tournament, #1 seed Oviedo will play the winner of Winter Springs and Lyman in the second round on February 8th.

Hagerty will face the Harmony in the first round of the Class 8A-District 6 tournament on Tuesday February 7th.
