The top girls volleyball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Bright House Sports Network staff:

1. Bishop Moore (6-0) – Hornets put their No. 1 national ranking on the line this weekend with a trip to Phoenix for the Nike Tournament of Champions.

2. First Academy (15-2) – Royals haven’t lost to a Central Florida opponent and have only dropped two sets to area teams.

3. Oviedo (12-3) – Lions sustained losses to Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian and Fort Myers Bishop Verot and finished fourth at the CM Cares Invitational.

4. Hagerty (10-2) – Huskies have won six consecutive matches and the streak figures to continue this week with matches against Liberty and Winter Springs.

5. West Orange (12-2) – Warriors host rival Olympia Tuesday night in a match that should draw a big crowd.

6. Dr. Phillips (12-2) – Panthers advanced to the final of their own tournament before falling to Miami Ferguson in the championship match.  

7. Lake Mary (11-4) Sophomore Rajini Fitzmaurice pounded 24 kills as the Rams rallied from a 2-0 deficit to knock off Spruce Creek in five sets.

8. Spruce Creek (11-3) – Hawks sustained a pair of losses last week including a gut-wrenching five-set defeat against Lake Mary.  

9. Merritt Island (10-4) – Sophomore outside hitter Lexi Denaburg has already racked up 171 kills this season and is over 400 for her career.

10. Olympia (10-4) – 14 kills and nine blocks from Mya Wilson helped the Titans outlast Cypress Creek in five sets.
