What a difference a week makes.

After giving up more than 500 yards of offense to Winter Haven last week, Osceola's defense dominated Heritage Friday night as the Kowboys prevailed 14-6 in a matchup of unbeaten teams on the BHSN Game of the Week.

Osceola limited Heritage to 131 total yards and held the Panthers on their final drive to secure the win.

Heritage went from its own 1-yard line all the way to the Kowboys 20, but Brian Nieves was stopped two yards shy of a first down on fourth-and-14.

The only Panthers touchdown came on a blocked field goal. Terrion Howard blocked the kick and freshman Jason Miller picked up the ball and raced 76 yards for a score.

Junior running back Malcolm Davidson scored both of Osceola's touchdowns.

The first came on the second offensive play for the Kowboys when Davidson scampered 26 yards for a score.

He then hauled in a 51-yard pass from Braxton Jones that made it 14-0 early in the second quarter.

Davidson finished with 13 carries for 88 yards and he eclipsed 2,000 yards for his career.

Jakobe Thomas had 105 yards on 12 carries.
