The Coke Zero 400 is over a month away but driver Danica Patrick is already looking forward to the July race, teaming up with the Daytona International Speedway Wednesday morning to preview the holiday weekend.

”The Coke Zero 400 means halfway,” said Danica. “I think it is exactly halfway in the season.”

Celebrating NASCAR’s halfway mark, Danica joined in typical 4th of July festivities, cooking up a Coke & Lime Cilantro Shrimp Wrap and playing a round of Frisbee golf. While it was all fun and games, Danica is looking forward to the drama that the Speedway brings come race day.

“Crashes are exciting,” said Danica. “But gosh they really are a part of Speedway racing. Getting to the end is not just half the battle, it’s a majority of the battle. You definitely come into a Speedway race with the assumption that you might not be taking that car home in one piece.”
