The Florida Gators football team are now 100 days away from opening their season against the University of Massachusetts, but still haven't named a starting quarterback.

Gators head coach Jim McElwain is taking a “wait and see” approach to monitor how the group of four quarterbacks handle the player-led workouts in the summer.

"We’ll have a good idea when we get back," said McElwain Wednesday evening prior to speaking to the Central Florida Gator Club. "Who the guys been that maybe everyone is rallying around. Whether rallying around is the right word, I know the one that has really invested and pushed guys."

While the second year head coach remains quiet about who that guy will be, he remains confident in all four of the QB’s competing for the starting spot.

"They’ve all proven that they can push the ball where it needs to go, especially in that 18-22 yard kind of area that you need to be able to hit the creases, so from that standpoint I’m excited about that group."
