The nation’s best prep football players have one more game left in their high school careers this weekend.

A handful of locals look to prove their keep among the fiercest in the country in the 10th Annual Under Armour All-American game.

Ninety of the nation’s top high school football stars are taking up residency in Orlando this week.

“You know I enjoyed it –for practice it’s high paced and they air the ball out a lot like I want them to –I just want to come out here and show them what I can do,” Tampa Bay Tech’s WR Daquon Green said.

Participating in the Under Armour All American game is a rite of passage for many of football’s greatest.

“It’s an honor because the best players –like Julio Jones, AJ Green and those guys [who came before us],” Mainland’s safety and FSU early enrollee Cyrus Fagan said.

“I came in, had butterflies on the way over here,” Lakeland WR James Robinson explained. “But I had to step up and just know I had to bring my ‘A’ game –there’s a lot of competition out here.”

Five Central Florida and Tampa Bay locals will be suiting up in their Under Armour gear come January 1st inside Camping World Stadium. For now their holding it down a Disney’s Wide World of Sports and most of these guys looking forward to matching up with their counterparts.

“I just want to show the whole world and everybody else who thinks that I am an underrated player to know that I am better than what I really am and show them what I really can do,” Green added of this post-season opportunity.

“It’s just going to be a great opportunity to be in the same field and same shoes basically of all the greats that played in—I just want to beat their records or do better than they did when they were here,” Green added.

And for some, childhood dreams have been reached.

“I wrote it on my wall one day and put it on my wall and looked at it every day and now I am here so dreams do come true I guess,” Fagan shared.

And for others, this game is just another chapter in their football story.

“Growing up I always watched TV and I never thought I was going to make it but I am here now,” Robinson said.

“This is a big stage and just gotta keep doing what I gotta do to get to the next big stage.”
