In one of the most memorable playoff games in Central Florida history, Dr. Phillips outlasted Seminole 37-34 in double overtime to advance to the 8A state championship.

The Panthers (12-2) will face Miami Southridge next Saturday night at 8pm at Camping World Stadium.

Sterling Stockwell's 19-yard field goal in the second overtime proved to be the winning points. Seminole's 23-yard field goal attempt hit off the left upright, sending the Panthers into a frenzy.

The 'Noles (12-1) had a chance to win the game in regulation, but a 37-yard field goal attempt drifted left as time expired.

Dr. Phillips trailed 24-13 at the half but stole momentum when D.J. Charles picked off a pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown.

The Panthers took the lead when Marvin Washington found Emare Hogan along the sideline for a 32 yard score.

Hogan also had a rushing touchdown and paved the way for a Tanner Ingle punt return TD.

Seminole quarterback Kalyan Wiggins threw for three touchdowns, two of them to UCF commit Gabe Davis in the first half.

Davis caught 12 balls for 183 yards.
