2015 Boys Lacrosse Rankings

The top boys lacrosse teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Bright House Sports Network staff:

1.  LHP 14-3 – Highlanders go 2-0 on the week with huge wins over Lake Mary (15-7) and powerhouse Ponte Vedra (18-7). LHP will face Edgewater in district tournament.

2.  Lake Mary 13-4 – Rams drop 2 matches on the week, failing to take down top ranked LHP (15-7) in a match at Lake Mary followed by a loss to Lambert (10-6) out of Suwanee, Georgia.

3.  Seminole 13-2 – Two dominating wins for the Seminoles, scoring a total of 36 goals while only giving up 7.  Downing Lake Howell (18-3) and Timber Creek (18-4). Seminoles will face Winter Springs in the district tournament this week.

4. Winter Park 10-5 – In our BHSN Game of the Week the Wildcats defeated our previous #4 Oviedo (16-12) and then followed that up with a win over #7 Boone (8-7). Winter Park takes on Bishop Moore in the district tournament.

5. Dr. Phillips 13-5 – The Panthers stay put at #5 after going 3-0 on the week to push their win streak to 9 games.  A matchup with Lake Nona is on tap for the district tournament.

6. Lake Brantley 8-5 – A solid week saw the Patriots go 2-0 with wins over Winter Springs (21-3) and our previous #4 Oviedo (16-15)  

7. Bishop Moore 11-5 – Only one game for the Hornets last week but they move up 3 spots after defeating West Orange (21-11)

8. Oviedo 10-7 – After winning 6 of their last 7 matches the Lions hit a bump in the road dropping both of their matches.  In our BHSN Game of the Week #4 Winter Park got the victory (16-12) Oviedo then fell to #6 Lake Brantley (16-15)

9. Boone 9-4 – The Braves 4-game winning streak was snapped in their lone match of the week, against #6 Winter Park (8-7)

10. Timber Creek (9-7) – Wolves have now lost 4 straight matches. Falling to #3 Seminole (18-4) and Milton (GA) (15-11) in the Florida-Georgia Showdown.
