Disney accepting applications for 2018 Dreamers Academy

For more than a decade, Disney has helped high school students dream big.

  • Applications open for 2018 Disney Dreamers Academy
  • US students ages 13-18 eligible
  • 100 students get trip to Disney World for workshops

Applications are now open for the 2018 Disney Dreamers Academy.

Now in its 11th year, the mentoring program gives 100 high school students the chance to participate in immersive career workshops at Walt Disney World, all expenses paid.

Students learn leadership, communication and networking skills from celebrity speakers and guests.

Many participants later pursue careers as doctors, pilots, engineers and journalists.

“After 10 years and over 1,000 Disney Dreamer alumni, we’re excited to begin the next decade of Disney Dreamers Academy,” said Tracey D. Powell, Walt Disney World vice president of commercial management resorts.

The Disney Dreamers Academy is open to any U.S. high school students ages 13 through 18. Applicants must answers essay questions about their personal journeys and dreams for the future.
