The Orlando Police Department is searching for a hit-and-run driver who they say sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened at about 7:33 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Ivey Lane at Gore Street. A car struck a motorcycle, then the car's driver ran away, according to Lt. Jay Draisin in a news release.
The motorcyclist was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
At one point, investigators shut down Ivey Lane, diverting traffic while they investigated.
