At about 10:05 p.m., firefighters were called to a house on 1121 West South St. that was "fully involved with flames," according to fire department spokeswoman Ashley Papagni,.

A firefighter pulled a person from the house, who was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died, Papagni stated. The male victim's age and identity have not been released.

Four other occupants were displaced. The American Red Cross is helping those people, OFD said.

The fire was ruled accidental, but officials have not released a cause.

Firefighters will give one free smoke alarm to homes in that area, and each smoke alarm will have a 10-year lithium battery, Papagni said. They will also check existing smoke alarms in those homes in case they need new batteries.
