Dolores A. Graham, 62, is charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure and felony criminal mischief.

According to deputies, Graham told them that she broke into a vehicle for sale at a dealership on the 1800th block of South Pine Avenue to sleep. She said she locked herself inside.

She then allegedly tossed a cigarette underneath the front seat of the car, which started a fire.

Graham told deputies that she couldn’t unlock the door. She reportedly attempted to smash open the front windshield with her hands and feet.

When Sgt. Micah Moore responded to the scene, he said he was able to get Graham to press the correct unlock button inside the car, and he removed her from the vehicle.

Authorities say a fire extinguisher was used to put the fire out.

Graham is being held in Marion County Jail.
