It was a soggy evening for some across Central Florida, with warm temps in the 70s.

The showers will continue to diminish overnight, with mild temps only in the mid to upper 60s.

  • Prepare for severe storms Tuesday
  • Isolated tornadoes possible
  • We'll get much-needed rain
  • SEE BELOW: See our 7-day forecast

We are still on track for some strong to severe storms on Tuesday. The entire area is in a Slight or Enhanced Risk for severe weather, meaning strong storms are very possible.

The best chance for storms will be in the PM hours, but a morning rain showers cannot be ruled out. The biggest threat with these storms will be damaging winds, heavy rainfall, small hail and possibly an isolated tornado.

Highs for Tuesday will be in the low 80s with windy conditions.

Behind the storm system, another round of cool air will push into the area. We’ll see plenty of sun both Wednesday and Thursday with highs only in the 70s.

Slightly warmer conditions will begin to return by next Friday. We will again feature mostly sunny skies and warmer temps in the mid-70s.

Rain chances will likely return early next week.

Poor to flat surfing conditions will greet those hoping to catch a few waves. We’ll have a small easterly trade swell and wave heights around ankle to knee high at best.

No improvement is expected the next couple days as the surf will be nearly flat. Our other concern with beach goers will be the potential for showers and storms.
