The man convicted of killing his infant boy was sentenced on Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Larry Perry was charged with first-degree felony murder, in which he was sentenced to life without parole. The additional 15 years in prison he will face is for the cruelty toward a child and aggravated battery on a child charge.

Perry faces the death penalty, after a jury unanimously recommended the sentence in July of 2017.

Prosecutors said Perry threw the child against the wall, twisted his neck and stomped on his face back in 2013.

The jury deliberated for about four hours before reaching their decision.
