A man has been arrested in connection to a 2017 homicide case in Sumter County in which a body was found in a ditch.

Kevin Rawlings was arrested earlier this month in Leesburg on a first-degree murder warrant, the Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

A year ago, the body of 24-year-old Jack "Dom" Dominick Cattedra III of Lady Lake was found in a ditch along County Road 514, just outside Coleman.

Deputies said the body was in advanced stages of decomposition.

Authorities say a motive for the killing may be drug-related.
