It was a chilly beginning to our Tuesday, and we’re keeping unseasonably cool air in place for the next couple days.

  • Overnight temps in 30s for some

The third Nor’easter in two weeks is pounding the northeast with heavy snow and wind, and pushing another chilly airmass in our direction. Although we’ve enjoyed a sunny sky Tuesday, highs were around 10 degrees below average thanks to the cool surge of air.

Under a clear sky overnight, we dip into the 30s in some neighborhoods north and west of I-4, with 40s elsewhere. We may even see patchy frost in Marion County early Wednesday morning. Highs will be identical to Tuesday, then warm into the 70s Thursday and Friday.

More sun is in store this weekend with highs warming into the 80s. We may see an isolated shower late Sunday. Mid-80s and more humidity return Monday, and as a front approaches, we’ve added a 40 percent rain and rumble chance Monday afternoon.

A north-northeast swell and waves pushing three to four feet will create some pretty fun sets Wednesday, with a fair surf forecast overall.

The rip current threat remains moderate, so be cautious if entering the water.

Sea surface temps are in the upper 60s along the Flagler and Volusia County coastlines, with low 70s along Brevard County’s coast.
