Firefighters battled a brush fire Wednesday that came up just behind homes in east Orange County.
The 1/4-acre fire was burning in a conservation area south of East Colonial Drive and east of Avalon Park Boulevard.
The blaze was directly behind rows of homes in a subdivision, and Orange County Fire Rescue crews were in residents' backyards trying to battle the fire.
