A 24-year-old Illinois man is accused of abducting an 11-year-old Orlando girl, according to authorities.

The girl was reported missing Sunday from a residence in the 9000 block of Eastport Terrace.

Investigators said Johnson was traveling with John Peter Byrns, of Hoffman Estates, Illinios.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says they believe Byrns had an online relationship with the victim, and was pretending to be another girl.

The relationship began through the game Minecraft, but then moved to cell phone chats.

Deputies say the family believed she must have left between 10 p.m. and midnight Saturday, but she was not discovered missing until the next morning.

"This individual was so convincing, he convinced this child to leave her home and took her into the Macon, Georgia area," Sheriff Jerry Demings said.

The sheriff's office said Byrns drove from Illinois to Orlando to pick the girl up.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office tracked the girl’s phone to an area in west Bibb County, Georgia and contacted the Bibb Sheriff’s Office.

By Sunday evening, Byrns and the victim were found in a room at a Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Macon, authorities said.

Byrns was taken into custody and is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

The victim was reunited with her family Sunday night.

Meanwhile, law enforcement is looking for other possible victims.

"This was the best outcome in this case," Demings said. "It could've been worse. This is a cautionary tale. She is lucky to be alive.
