We had isolated showers push up from the south Tuesday, although most of us stayed rain free and with some big breaks in the cloud cover early on.

Low pressure dropping toward the Florida Straits is responsible for isolated showers and pockets of mist Tuesday, and a much more muggy feel to the air.

Moisture and instability with the cut-off low to our west will lead to a few more isolated showers overnight, although drier air is trying to work into the atmosphere.

We stay mild with lows in the low to mid-60s and patchy areas of fog. We’re set to warm up even more over the next few days, with highs close to 80.

High pressure to our north and the weak low south will give us a breezy Wednesday, with rain chances at 30 percent.

We cut chances back to 20 percent Thursday, then an approaching cold front sends them back to 30 percent Friday.

Behind the front, highs drop into the 60s Saturday with a reinforcing cool push and highs in the 50s Sunday.

The proximity of low pressure to Florida, and occasionally breezy conditions have actually improved the surf forecast for the remainder of this week.

Wave heights are set to climb up around shoulder to occasionally higher than head high Wednesday and Thursday.

Grab a board, but make sure you have a good wet suit on. Sea surface temps are in the mid-50s to lower 60s.
